Elisa Lironi is the Programme Director for European Democracy, working at the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS) since 2015. She develops and leads ECAS’ European Democracy focus area by implementing EU projects and research studies related to Digital Democracy, Civic Engagement and Understanding Populism. She is the digital democracy expert for ECAS and has been managing several projects on this subject from different EU programmes including Erasmus+, REC, Europe For Citizens and Horizon Europe. She is currently part of the team working with the Secretariat-General of the European Commission on developing and implementing the European Citizens’ Initiative Forum.
