Bio

Stéphanie Tawa Lama is a CNRS Research Director (political science) at the Centre de Sciences Humaines (CSH), New Delhi. There, she studies contemporary Indian democracy through three main topics: political representation (with a special focus on women’s representation); participatory experiences; local democracy and urban governance. Her recent publications include Emotions, Mobilisations and South Asian Politics (with Amélie Blom, 2019) and Les avatars de la participation en Inde. Formes et ambiguïtés de la démocratie participative (2018).
