Dr. Knut Bergmann heads the communications department and the Berlin office of the German Economic Institute (IW). Previously, he was, among other things, a policy officer in the Office of the Federal President and a speechwriter for the President of the German Bundestag. He also teaches political science at the University of Bonn.
